I have a love-hate relationship with Laneige sometimes. Some products like their cream skin line work for me but other products vị nothing. It is a big hit or miss và maybe it is the fact that a lot of their products are super lightweight và caters more towards those with normal lớn oily skin type or because it is designed for a more humid environment. Even though their best selling sleeping pack doesn’t work for me at all, there is still a special place in my heart because it was one of the first-ever Korean cosmetic products I came in liên hệ with. Product packaging:I actually did not get the full-sized jars but a mini kích thước that was a kit during the holidays of 2019. They are still available on Jolse if you are interested as well as a lot of other online retailers. These are the same packaging but smaller, with the color-coded jars depending on which versions you get & a twist-off cap with a lid inside to lớn keep everything more airtight. These jars are plastic, so it is easy khổng lồ travel around with them.

Texture/ Finish:As I suspected, the original & lavender both have the same texture. They are both very lightweight gels that absorb into the skin very quickly và does not leave any greasy finish which is nice for people living in humid climates. As for the cica version, it is more of a thicker cream but still somewhat lightweight & again, absorbs into the skin with no greasy finish. I personally like the cica one much better for my dry skin và my skin feels more protected than the original & lavender.

Original sleeping mask has their Sliptox giải pháp công nghệ which helps stabilize natural evening primrose and hunja apricot extract lớn purify và clear tired skin during the day. It has hydro-ion mineral water to help the ingredients absorb better into the skin during the night.

The lavender version has the same Sliptox technology và same evening primrose & hunja apricot extract as well as the mineral water. The only real difference is the oải hương scent, which I’m kinda of meh about and also asking why is this necessary.

The cica version has their patent-pending Cica ingredient Forest yeast packed with soothing effects khổng lồ strengthen skin barrier during the night . It helps skin barrier strengthen during the night by moisturizing and protecting damaged skin from drying. It is also hypoallergenic 9 không tính phí formula (free from Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Toluene., Formaldehyde Resin., Camphor., Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP), Xylene, Paraben., Phthalate).

Effects/ Results:I already anticipated for the original formula to lớn not work for me. It is way too light và does nothing for my dry skin. I want up to lớn my skin feeling rough & dry, but usually not tight because I layer it with other serums và essence which is always my saving grace. I did have hopes that maybe the oải hương version was different, but I definitely was giving myself false hope. The oải hương one is exactly the same formula with a few ingredient differences & fragrance differences but that’s about it.

As for the cica sleeping mask that some of you guys recommended me khổng lồ try, I definitely liked it way better than the other two but it really wasn’t stellar or memorable. It was a good solid centella based moisturizer but that was about it. There was nothing that stood out enough for me to say get this cream. Heck, I even think I like the Purito recovery cream, another centella based moisturizer that is even more lightweight, lớn perform better than this one and it is cheaper! I didn’t wake up khổng lồ my skin feeling as dry but i didn’t really seem much “soothing” action either, so it is also meh.

Fragrance?:The original one has a very light soapy and citrus scent and it does fade after application. Smell-o-scale: 4/10 in terms of how strong it is.

Lavender version has a very light oải hương scent & I didn’t find it to lớn irritate my skin either (thank god). Smell-o-scale: 4/10 và it fades after application.

As for the cica one, it has a very light green smell to it but its definitely a Centella smell. Smell-o-scale: 4/10 & fades after application.

Pro:-absorbs into the skin quickly-not heavy

Con:-not moisturizing enough-not really memorable
