Most of the reviews I came across were either mediocre or abhorrently bad. But I gave it the benefit of doubt because it’s my beloved Innisfree and this is another sản phẩm from their Volcanic line. Now I wish I had spent my 5,000KRW on something else, perhaps another bottle of Sidmool Well Being Green Tea Skin or Lotion. Oh the regrets of bad decision making.

This cleansing balm dissolves and removes blackheads as Jeju volcanic clusters adsorb sebum và oil massages your skin.

Jeju Volcanic Blackhead Out Balm is contained in a brown plastic tub that is incredibly compact & travel-friendly. It comes with 30g of product which may seem little but should last you a while as a tiny amount is sufficient per each use. It does not come with a spatula or a silicone pore brush. Just make sure you clean your hands prior to lớn using the sản phẩm to avoid contaminating it. You could also use other alternatives such as a clean teaspoon or stirring spoon to scoop the hàng hóa out.
The balm is opaque & solid in the tub. However the texture will melt và become oil-like once you mas sa it over your skin. It’ll feel greasy under your fingertips but I find the texture easy to lớn work with as it doesn’t tug at my skin. And don’t worry about the grease, you can remove it with cleanser & water.

The instructions provided by Innisfree says lớn massage the balm over your blackhead concentrated areas for 3-5 minutes before cleansing. After you mas sa the balm over your skin, it’s supposed to lớn help loosen your blackheads & dislodge them. You then wash everything off with a cleanser.
So ideally, you bởi the whole routine for 3-5 minutes, the balm melts once you begin massaging it over your blackheads và the formula works to loosen và remove your blackheads. However most blackheads seem undeterred by this formula. It works, don’t get me wrong, but don’t expect any dramatic blackhead removal. For me, this formula is only capable of removing the blackheads that are sitting on the surface and not the deep-rooted ones. Those guys are still there as I expect something stronger will be required to lớn force them out. The one good thing about this balm is it leaves your skin feeling soft once you wash it off.
I’ve tried massaging this balm with just my fingertips và with silicone pore brushes on separate occasions but noted little difference. There were a few times the silicone pore brushes felt abrasive against my skin (on my ultra-sensitive skin days) but some say it’s supposedly more effective than your fingertips. I’ve also read that applying a steamed towel over your face prior to using the balm really helps mở cửa up your pores. While I would like to try that, I haven’t had the opportunity to bởi so yet.
I don’t really mind the time required lớn work this sản phẩm in since it’s not a part of my daily routine. I sometimes even go as long as 10 minutes if I see a bit of blackheads coming out. However, I concur 3-5 minutes is somewhat time-consuming when after all that’s done, your smug blackheads are still there, unmoved by your efforts.
Aside from the fact that this is travel-friendly, I actually lượt thích the way it smells. A lot of Innisfree products smell like citrus fruit which I’m not a huge fan hâm mộ of, but I quite lượt thích the scent of this. And it’s more obvious than some other products since I have lớn massage it over my nose for a good 3-5 minutes. I can’t describe the smell but I personally find it relaxing.
Those who dislike mineral oil might want to consider skipping this because it contains a significant amount of it. I’m neutral towards mineral oil even though I have experienced a couple of breakouts after using this. Mineral oil is kind of a controversial ingredient & your stance on it might influence your decision on the product unless you’re lượt thích me and don’t really care.
Unfortunately, Jeju Volcanic Blackhead Out Balm does not effectively remove all my blackheads, neither does it give me the clear skin it claimed. The most it does is remove a few blackheads and soften my skin texture.
Sad lớn say, the Jeju Volcanic Blackhead Out Balm was a bit lackluster in terms of performance và effectiveness. The thing about skincare is there’s no one form size fits all formula. So even though this was not incredibly effective on me, it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. The best part is it’s quite inexpensive so even if it doesn’t work, you would have not wasted a fortune. Wait, I think that’s just me trying to lớn console myself.
